Dr Tony Marshal from Frankston, Victoria, reminds us the bendy little blighters are brilliant at removing foreign bodies from noses and ears. They already come in various interesting shapes, and Dr Marshal turns one end into a loop, as pictured. An alternative tool is created by using forceps to get a short, sharp angle at the very tip.
